I received an art related question from Fen over on tumblr. It was a good question so I thought I could share my answer for it here too!
“Your screentones always look so good! How do you avoid the moire effect?”
I think the reason the effect doesn't happen much with my strips is because my screentone pattern is quite big, and because I usually keep it pretty faint.
I do it this way mostly because it's a taste-thing, but I did have it in mind a little bit when I decided the look of the strip.
I see the moire effect a lot more when people do the opposite (lots of tight little dots and high contrast). That bothers me sometimes.
